We're only a year and a half old, not purebred pugs, but we're healthy and think we look great. We had nasty intestinal parasites when we first came into rescue, but we got all fixed up and now are hoping our forever home finds us soon. My name is Maya, and I came into rescue with my brother Shai. My brother and I were found locked in a cage with the trash cans at a gas station. It was so hot, and we were scared no one would find us in time. Thankfully an employee came out to empty trash, and we ran out! A nice man came and picked us up and took us to his mom’s house where we would be safe. After that Homeward Bound was called and got us to the vet. We had lots of fleas, and I just had puppies. I don’t know what happened to my babies, but I know folks went and looked for them. I sure hope they are ok. I’m just a year old and that was a lot for a youngster like me. I am better now and ready for my forever home. I love to play and snuggle and am quite sweet if I do say so myself. I get easily startled though, and don't like loud noises, so best not to be with young kiddos. Hope my family finds me soon as I have lots of love to give.

My owners were never located so Homeward Bound found a wonderful foster for me to stay with. I love to play with my toys and am a complete love bug.   My name is Blitz, and I am a senior. When my Mama passed away I came into rescue. I am a lover and funny little guy. At least that is what my foster mom said. My name is Paddy, AKA Houdini, as I’m a bit of an escape artist. I was in a scary shelter, doing my best Pug impression, hoping Homeward Bound would see me. Guess what? It worked and a nice lady sprung me from the shelter and brought me to Mama Gail. Whew that was a close call. When I got here, all the pugs started sniffing my butt and following me around, and some even started chasing me. So, when no one was watching, I snuck out under the fence. A neighbor saw me strolling down the street and brought me back. Busted! I am trying to introduce myself properly and not be afraid. I have good house manners; am crate trained and love to play with toys. I wouldn’t mind a furry companion to keep me company when no one is home. No dog doors and small kiddos that might let me out by accident, but I think I would love to play with older kids. As you can see, I am very cute and it's possible I have no pug in me. I can’t wait to meet my new family and start my new life!

I can be a bit aloof until I get to know you and then I will follow you everywhere if I’m not napping and chilling out on a soft dog bed. I love to tell my foster mom when it is time to eat, and I bounce around waiting for meals which are the most important part of the day.
